The Vision
Isaiah 11:9, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.”
Lordship
Jesus Christ is the Lord of Alaska. Everything else flows from this one truth.
Towards a Christian Alaska
Our vision is to see all of Alaska in joyful submission to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We desire to see her drowning in the knowledge of Jehovah, to see her people freed from sin and bondage to the kingdom of darkness, to see her buildings made beautiful, her children discipled in a resilient Christian worldview, and her institutions submitted to our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
The Mission
Matthew 28:19–20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
The Church
Judgement begins at the house of the Lord. The churches in Alaska bear the responsibility for her spiritual state, and any work of reformation and revival must begin in the church. We begin that work by shaping our worship of the Triune God according to the pattern of worship laid out in Scripture. No great work of reformation can be accomplished without His blessing. “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.” (Psalm 127:1)
The Family
One of the principles blessings that Jehovah pours out upon His church when she rightly orders her worship is the blessing of restored families. The LORD promised in the prophet Malachi to turn the hearts of fathers towards their children, and to turn the hearts of children towards their fathers (Malachi 4:6). As He does this, the covenant household returns to its God-ordained place as the building block of society.
The Culture
In the act of salvation, Jesus Christ frees men from bondage to sin, death, and slavery to the Law. Free men build free markets and free civilizations. In other words, Jesus Christ is the basis for all freedom from tyranny. Through His power and grace, we are enabled by the Holy Spirit to build, fight, and conquer this world by proclaiming His word and living according to His laws. As Christians do this, culture, and all its institutions, will be transformed and conformed to Christ.
